So I finally got around to finishing my first route in Amnesia: Memories! Yay! *throws confetti* As always, I’m a few months behind the rest of the otoge community, but I can live with that. I took my time playing this one, and I’m kinda glad I did…there was a lot going on with this game. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the game, it was fun, but there were some things that I had problems with.
So I decided to play Shin’s route first, because he happens to be on all the promotional art, and he looked cute. Usually I’d go for the megane hottie Kent first, but something told me that it would be in my best interest to play Shin’s route first…and I’ll have to let you know in a later post if that was the right decision.

Here we are again at the end of another week…I just started a Behavior Change Project for school, I decided to add more walking into my day, and I have managed to walk for at least 30 mins everyday this week! Yay me! I also managed to write absolutely nothing for my portion of the results section of my Big Graduation Research Project…motivation levels were especially low for this assignment…
I went to a party last night where I did some Backstreet Boys Karaoke…it was awesome, but I have to admit that I’m a tad bit tone deaf…But people were in to it nonetheless!

So this was suggested by voltage-lover-headcanons over on Tumblr. Thanks for the suggestion. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a review on Scorpio, but your message on Tumblr was so nice, I just couldn’t say no!
Scorpio is one of my favorite Voltage characters, I fell in love with this dark haired god almost from the beginning, his dark hair and cool expressions just set my poor fangirl heart aflame. As I have said before I have a type: cool aloof, tsunderes, and snarky ice queens, Scorpio is all of that and so much more.
Scorpio is a foul mouthed god, with a penchant for punishment, which I will admit may be a little off putting at first. His jerk levels at times are on par with the likes of Keith from Be My Princess, but once he falls in love Scorpio becomes a passionate, if not a tad bit possessive lover. I absolutely love Scorpio as a character, he and Takuto Hirukawa from Love Letter from Thief X are shining examples of tsunderes done right! It’s a shame that he always comes second to Eisuke Ichinomiya in every poll and tournament….
*Disclaimer: I don’t own these images, they belong to Voltage…and this goes without saying, but there will be minor SPOILERS under the cut…*

So I thought I’d document my thoughts before the Special 20th Anniversary Pokemon Direct Announcement…I really dunno what to think, earlier this week sites leaked that Nintendo obtained copyrights to Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun, speculating that these are the titles of the 7th generation of Pokemon games. A new game would be awesome, I dunno what to expect but I know it’s gonna be big!
Feb 27th 1996 was the exact date that Pokemon Red and Blue were released exactly 20 years ago. And to commemorate that they had a really sweet and nostalgic video showing people playing pokemon in all of its iterations.
HOLY SHIT A NEW GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They Officially announced Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun for 3DS later this year! I am so excited right now I can’t contain it! They also announced the digital release of the original Red, Blue, and Yellow with access to the Pokemon Bank so we can finally trade pokemon from the original games to the newer games!
Are you guys excited about Pokemon20? What about Pokemon Go? Feel free to comment and share, and as always THANK YOU for reading!
So one of the manga series that I bought at Katsucon was the acclaimed yaoi classic, I Shall Never Return by Kazuna Uchida. I absolutely love this manga, everything about it just screamed 90’s, from the fashion to the angst ridden plot, it was a non-stop ride from start to finish. I couldn’t help but get swept up in the story of Ritsuru and Ken, as their friendship evolves into a passionate love affair. I could not put it down, quickly breezing through all five volumes in a matter of hours, it was just that good! Don’t let the art put you off this amazing title (I happen to love 90’s art), you will regret not reading this amazing title.
The five volume series released between 1992 and 1996 follows the friendship between Ritsuro, a straight laced high school student and Ken, a high school drop out who leads a life of sex and drugs. Despite Ken’s destructive lifestyle, Ritsuro sticks by him even after it causes friction between him and his girlfriend Moeko. I want to commend this title for actually having a female character that is important to the plot! Moeko is much more than the typical female prop character, she is an important friend to both Ritsuro and Ken, without getting in the way of the relationship between the two male leads. She is a side character that actually adds depth to the story in a meaningful way.

Edit: The Kickstarter for this game was successful at meeting its funding goal! Due to the outstanding Backer turn out, the game was able to meet more of the Stretch Goals than anticipated! However, this has caused the game to be delayed slightly from the original release date…The game now has a tentative release date of December 2017!
So this one is for all of my BL/Yaoi fans out there…In a world where good BL games are still few and far between comes the debut game from two sisters who just so happen to love BL/yaoi and games! Seiyuu Danshi is an upcoming English BL visual novel by Meyaoi Games. The game will be 18+!
In the game you play as an up and coming seiyuu (voice actor) who has just run away from home. With nowhere to go and your job on the line, you vow to become a top notch voice actor and maybe find some love along the way. Currently there are five potential love interests, with possibility of one mystery character in the future.
This game boasts a lot of unique features that set it apart from traditional visual novels currently on the market.
- Reversible Roles- choose to be either a Top or a Bottom!
- Foreplay Mode- help your partner get in the MOOD…
- Lover’s Life- the game doesn’t stop once you get a lover, experience the relationship after the credits role!
- Job System- actually work as a voice actor; choose jobs and decide how to perform lines.
- AND MUCH, MUCH MORE….
This game met it’s $5,000 goal within 9 hours of the Kickstarter launch! Right now they are working on reaching the Stretch Goals (all of which sound super awesome)!

Edit: The Kickstarter for this game failed to achieve the necessary funds by the deadline. As of right now there has been no additional news about future plans for localization of this title!
So I know this has been said several times before, but I feel that this type of repitition is good, it shows solidarity within the Otome/Otoge community (and I love it!)
Gloczus, the same folks who helped localize Hakuoki and Amnesia, are back again this time with the title Beastmaster and Prince ~Flower and Snow~! Originally released back in 2010, the game has proved immensely popular spawning two sequels…
The story looks good, and since my Japanese language skills are laughable at best, it warms my heart that companies are listening to our otome fangirl pleas, and seriously considering localizing Japanese games for a global market.
More games = more new fans, which in turn increases the demand for these types of games, which then means more games will be localized!
So PLEASE check out the Kickstarter, HERE, and lend your support. There are only 18 more days left for them to reach their goal of $150,000 (currently $49,713), every little bit helps! I’m planning on donating at the $25 level…I know it’s not much (I kinda quit my job right before Christmas) but I really do want to help out!
Every little bit helps!
If you can’t help out monetarily, SHARE this post or the Kickstarter on social media and spread the word!
Here we are once again at the end of another week…I always plan on writing these posts in advanced, but life has a funny way of stopping that from happening. So here I am, again, at the last possible minute scrambling to get this weekly recap finished…
So, we’ve finally graduated from the data analysis portion of my final research assignment.
Now, we’ve moved on to the writing portion of the project. Sounds easy enough in theory, but unfortunately that is not so much the case. We used a well known dataset to run our analysis, so that means there are hundreds of papers that have already been written using said dataset. So, my task is to cover the same information about the dataset as the other papers have, without accidentally plagiarizing any of it! There are only so many was to say “X sampling method was used in Y country” or “a nationally representative sample of X was selected from Y, using Z…”

I usually don’t do this, but I figured for once, why not get ahead of the curve a little…Yesterday Voltage released a brand new game, After School Affairs! Am I excited about this game? Eh, not really, but that didn’t stop me from downloading it the minute it was available in the App store, like I do every Voltage game, good, bad, or indifferent…So here we go:
Once again Voltage is taking us to school, however this time instead of being one of the students, we get the chance to play as a teacher?! I know right! We’ve finally graduated from high school romances to forbidden teacher romance! Not that I have a problem with their available high school romance stories, it’s just nice to play as an adult some times is all.
Available on Love 365: Google Play | App Store | Amazon App Store

So with all the hype surrounding the newer Voltage Inc games, the older games aren’t getting as much attention. By older I mean those hidden gems that don’t appear on the Voltage Visual Romance Apps Facebook page, nor do they have fancy gifs on their Tumblr. No these unsung heroes are the forgotten foundation of the Voltage empire, and for many the start a long-term love affair with 2D pixel men…So I just wanted to throw a small spotlight on an older game by writing about my first ever otome A Knights Devotion. Yes, scoff if you want to, Voltage was my first introduction to the otome genre three years ago, and I haven’t look back since! I still remember playing it under the register at my barista job…*sigh* memories.
